Theatremonkey is really good for all sorts of info, especially where to sit. It does list some good deals, too, but you often have to book by 'phone and ring a premium number -I like to book in person to see what I'm getting, or online to pick my own seat. I will definitely b*y Theatremonkey's new book (due in November) but not by post, as it's £3 extra!

I got the soundtrack to the Dirty Dancing musical for free today at the Square Meals Venues & Events show, there was a stall where you could try to win tickets to a musical, and they just gave the CDs to us for no particular reason! They said that in March next year part 2 of Phantom of the Opera is coming out, it's called "Love Never Dies" or something.

Lastminute.com are doing a deal for a meal and a West end show for £10 at 10 am today.
Sounds like a very good deal but you have to be quick as these things usually sell out in a couple of minutes.

To be honest, I didn't think there was much choice! Grease and Rat Pack were the only ones I knew from the list.

Yeah, I was also disappointed by that Lastminute.com offer.

Not a huge selection of good shows in general in the West End these days... although I am slightly intrigued by John Barrowman starring in La Cage Aux Folles.

Went to see Sister Act last night, it was the best show I've ever seen, it was really funny and the lady that played Delores had an amazing voice.

That's good - I'm still keen, and as the forecast for the weekend is poor, I thought I might try for the Saturday matinee, if there are any not-too-expensive deals.

I've just booked tickets to see Breakfast at Tiffanys, lastminute.com were selling the matinee performances at half price so I'm going on the 25th November and will feed back after. I've seen Grease, Mary Poppins and Phantom of the Opera after watching the film first and loved all of them. I think I should get a second home in London, it's just family, work and money that's stopping me

You'll be way ahead of me, then - as the weather was nice yesterday, I went walking instead of going to the theatre. but I'l be making up for it in the nex week or so: plenty of plays booked.
