No, it's just one person's opinion so far. And how often have you seen and enjoyed a film at a preview and thought, when the reviews came out, that you wouldn't have seen it if you'd let them influence you?

Exactly, I am not sure of the reviews Ghosttown received but I enjoyed it!

Has anyone been to see this tonight and would like to tell us what they thought?

Gervais 'intimidated by US stars'

He may seem unflappable as David Brent but Ricky Gervais has revealed that working with Hollywood's finest would cause him to break out in a sweat.

Gervais 'intimidated by US stars' .The 48-year-old star of The Office and Extras has worked with Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller and Samuel L Jackson but, while he entertains the idea of starring opposite Jack Nicholson, Martin Scorsese and Clint Eastwood, it fills him with dread.

"There are people that I want to work with but I'm too intimidated. There are a few people that I'd be worried about working with - the greats: Jack Nicholson, Scorsese and Clint Eastwood," said Gervais at the gala screening of his new film, The Invention Of Lying, at Bafta in central London.

"So there are still people out there who intimidate me."

He added: "I think they would catch me out finally. I've got away with murder until now and they would blow that."

Terry Jones and John Hurt expressed their hopes of working with the award-winning comedian.

Jones, renowned for his work on Monty Python, said: "I gave him a script which he said he was going to read so we'll see what happens."

Others stars at the premiere included Gervais's frequent collaborator, Stephen Merchant, ex-Dr Who David Tennant, comedian David Baddiel and EastEnders actress Lauren Crace.

The Invention Of Lying is out in UK cinemas on Friday.

Yeah, I saw a lot of 2 star reviews today. Would still be interested in watching it though!

Saw this last night and to be honest, i was a little disappointed. The story was a very good idea but it just wasn't that funny. there were a few humorous scenes but i was expecting to be laughing the whole way through. Although seeing gervais with long hair and a beard was quite entertaining!

I give the film 5/10

As with Creation (which I'm still planning to see), this is another film which seems to have divided the critics. After all the initial mealy-mouthed reviews, yesterday I read two 4-star ones (in the Guardian and Standard). It makes it very hard to decide whether to give it a go, but I think lack of time will settle the issue for me.
