I went to see this last Tuesday at the Odeon Covent Garden. Show started on time and to a packed cinema.

The film was rather formulaic and predictable. It did not require much thinking and ticked all the boxes of a revenge thriller. It's not going to win any awards but it certainly entertained me on a Tuesday night after a hard day at the office.

I really liked the jail hit scene. Yes, there are definitely plot holes but if you can suspend belief for a little while the film is fine and works well.

I liked the Johnny Cash song at the end as I'm a Johnny Cash fan but I agree with another FMUKer that just by adding this song does not lift the intellectual content of the film.

Interesting that the cinema was packed. I thought with the rubbish title, typical premise, lack of big star names and general negative reviews this one might flop. Maybe I'm wrong!

Saw the trailer and was hooked by the fact that Luc Besson had something to do with it and it was also from the same people responsible for Taken - a much under-rated film in my opinion.

However, having sat through it, probably about the most positive thing I can say is that it was a "no-brainer entertainer"... poor dialogue, rather predictible plot... I think a lot of the action/gun-play scenes are the only thing which saved it from being utterly pants!

4 / 10 - Revenge has been done so much better in Taken and Kill Bill!
