Has anyone seen Calender Girls or Shawshank Redemption on stage? If you have, what did you think?

Sorry, no - walked out of the last play I saw but it was neither of these.

Edit: Have you looked on "West End Whingers"? I know you can find plenty of reviews online and you would probably prefer a more personal recommendation (or warning!), but I find theirs really funny. You would have to go back some way, though, to find these two, as they are in chronological order, most recent first.

Yes, someone sent me a hilariously bad review of Two Birds and a Bloke from there.

That was me! Did anyone actually go and see that yet? - I wonder if it was as excruciating as the review made out.

So it was! Btw, I know this is a thread about films turned into plays, but apart from that, has anyone got a recommendation for a good theatre play I could take my German friend to? Can only find weird stuff or stuff I have never heard about. Personally, I would prefer a musical anyway but not sure she is into that.

Phantom of the Opera and The Jersey Boys are both brilliant, I personally didn't rate wicked 6/10. I too love musicals.
I think Tufty is going to see Breakfast at Tiffanys very soon so she will be able to feed back. Have fun
