Another vote for this film as excellent 9.5/10. All the performances were fantastic - I especially like Viola Davis -- and visually the film looked wonderful as well. I really appreciated a film with a great female ensemble cast all turning in great performances. :D

At times the dialogue was a little quiet and hard to follow - but I think that was because the air conditioner (or jet engine? :red: ) right behind us was making quite a racket.

Another great thing was that this was a film that did not need a blasting sound track to tell half of the emotional story – it was one that just let the writers and the actors do that job - brilliant.

All the audience seemed to actively discussing the film as they left - and all seemed to have enjoyed it very much.

A great film of a great book – and one I will (and have) recommended to my family & friends and that I would consider seeing twice at the cinema which is very rare for me.

Great stuff! o/

Saw this last night and thought it was great, that was until the horribly ham fisted ending which totally ruined it for me. Everything else was great, pace, acting story etc but why did they feel the need to wrap up every every little thing in such detail? It felt like the film had about 5-6 different points where the credits could have rolled and really did spoil it.
Would have been a 7 or 8/10 but with I can only give it 6/10 which is a shame.
