They are also looking for people to set up their friends / family to be hustled - tempting

You cant say fairer than thatDear Felix
Thanks for taking the time to email me. I must apologise for what was a wasted journey for you to the London studios in Waterloo, and am sorry that you did not gain entry into the studio to see the Paul O'Grady show. I really am so sorry.
If I can explain how the booking system works - unfortunately we do have to overbook on our ticket allocation to every show. We work on the statistics of turnouts that we have achieved over the last 5 years since booking for different TV and radio shows and also so far, over 400 Paul O'Grady audiences, and have to approximately determine how many tickets will be used when booking tickets. We therefore have to ask ticket holders to arrive early to avoid disappointment, and we point out on tickets that seating cannot be guaranteed. I am sorry and immensely surprised, that on arrival on this occasion it was not early enough. In contrast, there have been many previous occasions when we have had even more extra tickets in circulation and only been at seventy five percent capacity. We are therefore very surprised to have turned so many people away. From our experience, we feel that there is no other way with dealing with the ticket allocations other than by over allocating on numbers. We also have to take into account seasonal changes with the weather and transport issues.
If this were to happen on a daily basis, I think it would be quite impossible to convince people to ever come back to a TV recording again! As you say, it is not fair on you and we don't thrive on letting you down, we rely on people turning up to make the shows a success. I wholeheartedly regret what happened and I hope that you will return to see the show with priority access soon.
Monday 11th October @ 12:30pm OR 4:30pm
Tuesday 12th October @ 12.30pm OR 4.30pm
Wednesday 13th October @ 12.30pm OR 4.30pm
(If these dates are not convenient, please let me know and I will offer alternatives).
If you have priority tickets, we will hold your seat until 30 minutes before the doors open. You will have the first pick of the seats too.
I really hope that you will come back and take us up on our priority seats offer. If Paul O’Grady is not convenient, please browse our list of shows at http://www.lostintv.com
When you next apply online, you will be given priority as I have put a note on your account to do this for all future shows.
Kind regards,
Nick
Yes, they always do that with free audience tickets - had tickets to see Robbie Williams in Parky - and just as we were next in the queue to go in after queuing for 3 hours in the wind and rain, the production team turned up! But we were given priority tickets for the next Parky show and we saw Tony Blair instead. Not a consolation!AnneJ wrote:I had tickets to Paul O Grady on Monday, he had Cliff Richard on, my mums a big fan so we went. We queued for 3 hours and didn't get in!! It was a disaster, we were only told we weren't going in at 4.50pm, the show starts at 5pm, apparently they had about 40 production priority tickets, they weren't sure whether those people were going to turn up, so they kept about 50 of us there just in case they didn't, then at the last minute they all arrived so we didn't go in. I emailed Lost in TV yesterday to complain, so far no reply.....
