Anyway, I am relatively sure that every website/email newsletter ought to give you the means of unsubscribing, and they might be breaking some conduct codes if they don't.
Are you getting problems with yeildmanager Beate or should i say do you know how to get out of having problems with yeildmanager

i've googled it and it seems a real problem for yahoo...sigh

I only have a problem with yield manager in IE. What do you mean by you can't get into it?

I am referring to what Phunkygal wrote in the Dead Man running comp about the Daily Mirror comp redirecting you to myoffers.co.uk and I experienced this with zoo magazine when it had a link for oneoffbets.co.uk
These ones you can't even unsubscribe or say I do NOT want to receive emails etc.... THEY just SEND it to you!
If you want to try an experiment, enter those comps on a new email account and put a silly name like Alfred Hitchcock, I am sure you will get lots of junk email and some even saying Dear Alfred....
Beate wrote:I don't know exactly which sites you are referring to but in general it helps to always tick the box that says "I do NOT want to receive emails/newsletters/info from other parties" etc. or untick any that say "I am happy to receive...."

I agree with Beate, an internet email address with a big provider such as Yahoo, Hotmail or Google is great for mobility and no hassles of notifying everyone of change of address. Yahoo also offers push email on Blackberrys whilst Hotmail offers it on all windows mobile phones. Their junk filters are great and are easy to mark unfiltered emails as junk which the filter learns from. Drawback however, is that your email address is advertising the provider's name and your email signature have a message from the provider.
The best email address to have for life is of your own domain, and have it hosted by either yourself, or any domain host provider. Of course you have to p*y for the privilege but it doesn't really cost much.

I can see some of the arguments for the non-ISP providers such as Yahoo, etc, but am not persuaded myself. I have never changed my ISP so haven't needed to change my address; you don't get advertising and the profits from my ISP go to charity. The ethical policy is an important consideration for me, as with banking. But a with everything else, we are all free to choose whichever service best suits our needs.

Fingers crossed I might have put yeildmanager at rest for a while, my friend removed it from the registry, I blocked it as spam and the website, along with removing all cookies, history and add-ons but boy is it annoying
and aggressive
