Why make an event out of Christmas light switch ons anyway? Just switch the damn things on, the light pollution is bad enough.

The other thing is that they will now be on for several weeks longer, burning more electricity, costing more money! :eek:

I love Christmas but I certainly won't be going to see the Christmas tree this week!

I went into the Disney store today and they had gorgeous Christmas displays! (I don't mean stuff to b*y, but they have big character figures dressed up in Wintery outfits throughout the store)

The Arthur Christmas displays are also already hanging above Regent Street, ready for the lights switch ofn on November 8.

This reminded me that I loved the Harrods Christmas parade last year so I just Googled when this year's will be and it was this morning apparently :tears:

A few years ago I chose to go to Disneyworld, Florida at the start of December to see it in the Christmas season. :xmas:
Nobody does Christmas like Disney. It was out of this world! I'd go there every year if I'd the money.
Maybe I could start carol singing to get the money! :rolleyes:
