My daughter's OH went to the last RBS screening with a ticket in my husband's name but they wouldn't let him in as he didn't have a debit card to show. He was asked to stand to the side until the screening was about to start and then they said he could go in as there were still a few empty seats.

But it totally depends on the cinema as at some other cinemas no one checked everyone's debit card so you may be lucky.
oh really! im not quite sure as i don't want it to be a waste of time, its a suprise for my sister shes turning 8 and LOVES the chipmunks, i guess i will take a chance and just go :) thanks for the info :D

Alvin & The Chipmunks:Chipwrecked @ Leicester Square Empire

#14 Post by filmcat » Sat Dec 03, 2011 3:10 pm

Leicester Square Empire Cinema was a place to be today...

Buzz of Costume characters, Face painting, balloon art and laid on food - Pastries and cakes along with hot n cold beverages.

Star Wars (3D) clip was shown along with an Ice Age one.

The film had funny moments along with animation and real people. Set in scenic places.

Nice big screen...................

They had food? Impossible to see between the kids.
I had to sign an embargo when my ticket arrived, but they never bothered to ask for it, so, I can say it's a pile of crap in every respect, seeing David Cross in a bird suit for 90 minutes crushed my soul.

You missed the food? It was so much better than at Happy Feet! *eyes sandwich bag of leftover pastries*

Considering there were SFF tickets today too there is no way they could've imposed an embrago anyway.

But they sent stuff to sign, so they'd have checked, the fact that I only know one person who is under embargo, because she asked where to hand her agreement in.

Man, why would they have kids everywhere if there was food? Nothing at War Horse last night, but lots at busy, horrible Alvin? Gorram.

The abundance of food and good company were the only redeeming features of today's screening.

They even went with baskets of cupcakes into the screening room as they had so many leftovers, you must've been asleep before it even started.

Are you saying chipmunks singing the entire Glee repertoire wasn't a redeeming feature as well? :P
