Actually Raj, only the original PS3 60GB Fat model was PS2 compatable. Sony consequently released all furture models without the PS2 compatability mode much to the dissapointment of many customers. The reasoning for it was clearly profit making as this allows them to release PS3 compatable PS2 games on the PSN store for extra revenue. From a business perspective its a clever and profitable move and in all honesty, there is nothing wrong with doing that. Its just the fact that we know the original had the PS2 compatability gives the sour note that they giveth and taketh away. Not a nice image for Sony.raj101 wrote:TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:Hey Raj, what are your top ps2 games, i think I want to try some out as I actually have a ps2 but only b*ght eye toy games for it.
Oh and Max Payne is an awesome game, great story too. those slo-mo shooting mechanics were radical at the time. I have the PC version. I also have the sequel too but i never got round to playing that.
hi Glass, I dont really have a top ten as such. But I have enjoyed Pro Evo football more than anything else, Tekken Tag, superrealistic driving games like GT and I'd probably add Max Payne to that.
But the good news for you is that your PS3 is partially backwards compatible, so an old Tomb Raider Anniversary game should play on it too, or so I have heard.
Ah I see you have a penchant for beat em up games, football and simulation racing...unfortunately I am so crap at those genres! With racing, I love the arcade type like NFS as opposed to the F1 or GT simulation type. I have every Tomb Raider game on the PC, I love them, even though some do not deserved to be loved due to sever flaws in gameplay no doubt caused by very rushed sequel deadlines.
