Saw this in a pretty full Manchester. No issues at all with I.D., thanks again to evilzadi for the tickets. Free popcorn was a nice touch, but meant the short film was drowned out by munching at the start - free chocolates or marshmallows next time perhaps?

Anyway the film was awesome, funny, exciting, full of impossible stunts that actually felt like stunts and not someone messing about on a green screen and I loved the running joke about the masks, which many - including me - thought spolied the previous couple of films.

Great to see Brad Bird make a successful leap to live action and can't wait to see what he does next.

All in all a just about perfect blockbuster action movie, maybe, just maybe there could have been a stronger villain, but pretty close to 10/10 for me.

Liverpool Switch Island screening was very disorganised last night. We were kept queueing up in the foyer until 1 minute before the film was due to start. Felt sorry for the Virgin rep as she was being messed around by the cinema as the room was not ready, and she had to keep dashing off to make calls to her boss. Tickets then were checked against ID and a portion of the SFF printout was returned to us as a 'ticket'. Friends who were at the back of the queue missed the first 5 minutes of the film as it was just starting as we went in, and we were at the front. The air con was on full blast too and the room was freezing by the end. Brrr! She was still apologising as we were leaving. On a positive note, lovely free popcorn. Mmm!

Loved the film, lots of twists and turns in the plot. I jumped quite a few times. The scenes shot in the Dubai hotel were brilliant. I could happily watch this film again.

Short? It was 2 hours and 15 minutes!

Having said that, free chocolate or marshmallows would be awesome ;)

I think yogi means the VM short before MI!
We missed most of it in Liverpool as jordsmum stated cos of the debacle with the room not being ready, and then starting the film at 6.30 with people still queuing outside!

I did indeed. It was nice to see something other than Sign Language, but I don't think this short was quite as good.

And I hope the movie duration doesn't put anyone off, it certainly doesn't feel like a 2hr 15 film.

Ah that makes sense, oops! I wasn't at the VM screening but saw MI before ;)

Saw this last night in Bristol and thought it was great - best MI film yet. The stunts were awesome and I really enjoyed the comic aspects of the film too - stopped it being too serious - to the point where you could've got fed up - so a great mix of action and comedy - but then Simon Pegg is the best! Would def recommend this to family/friends. 9/10
