Boyf and I showed up 2 mins after the film started. The screen was very strange, seems as though it sloped slightly upwards, towards the screen. Strange. Film was light hearted and I particularly enjoyed the scenes at the playground where Charlene was interviewing the kids. I agree that Director seemed to try too hard in certain places. The ending was disappointing for me. 6/10

We completed the questionnaire and then scarpered. Put ticks in the boxes instead of crosses, but couldn't be bothered to correct it all. It became eerily quiet once people started to fill in their forms, kinda like a test! Didn't notice the camera (not that I wanted to) for comments. I don't recall seeing anyone head to the front for the focus group. Even if there was booze and water!

So was it fully packed then or just a few people who turned up? I was just wondering since I only saw one code for it. From what you said, I think I should thank cellar_door for taking my tickets!! I think I would have left within 5 minutes of that show!

Well it's a big screen so even though a lot of people showed up, we had no one in front of us. The back wasn't too full anyway, probably due to the strange sloping towards the screen and the lover's seats at the back which might put some people off actually who have come with friends.

I'm suprised alot of people would go see it! After I read the synopsis for the film and knew I was watching Transformers last night and My Sister's Keepers tomorrow, I thought I could easily give it a miss. I thought alot of people would too. Good to know it was a good screening though, even if the film weren't so great!

Would you recommend watching it Beate?

Hey hey hey! What's with the Cera hating! The guy's a genius - okay okay he only plays a single character, but his comic timing is perfect!

Yes, sure, go and see it, it's not bad, I don't know why people think I dissed it, if I had I wouldn't have given it a 6/10!

Lol I think 6/10 is pretty low!! When I see a rating like that, I don't feel tempted to watch it!! For me to watch something based on others recommendations, it should be rated 8 or more or depending on the movie, I may push it to 7! :P

Oops!! I forgot to mention him! There was a funny bit in the film
Charlene and Michael are in a diner and he walks out after claiming she judged him too quickly... Only to return through the back door saying "sorry I took so long, I didn't realise it was THAT far from the front door!"
I do like his work, but don't think I'll be watching 'Year One'. From the look of the trailers, not my kinda movie...

Did anyone else think that Charleyne's singing was absolutely dreadful? I actually covered my ears.

lol, it was... Different.
She's creative and the song itself was cool, just maybe not sung by her; but I suppose there was no other way to portray that part of the movie. It served it's purpose.

I didn't cover my ears.
