I'm reviving this thread once more after Valda's suggestion. I'm currently listening to the song "Move On Up" and I very much like it. I think I'll b*y the album which it's from. Only £3 on amazon but I have a lot of vouchers I need to spend in HMV so I'll try to find it there.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

I already have "What's Going On" and love it, though haven't listened to some of his earlier stuff.

Has anyone else heard of an artist called Pearl of Tranquillity? I really like this music.

I've b*ght all the songs and I love them all, I especially like the tracks: 10 million belloons, The Biosphere and Green and Purple.

you can check them out on http://www.songstall.com/Pearl

something different for me in 2012

Very interesting. Definitely something you would fall asleep to. I can't find anything about the artist...

Me nither, maybe they are just starting out, I’ll try to do a proper search. If they are a new band/artist then I guess we are the 1st few people to discover them, I heard there music on the radio, I was at my friends, did a google search and found them. I think this kinda music will come in handy during exam revison for me, and I guess anyone who wants to relax etc. it feels good to have discovered a new band/artist. I think I am getting into this kinda slow relaxing music…

Eugene McGuiness is back!

I saw him live two years ago at the Lock Tavern (Chalk Farm, London), it was amazing. He can do whatever he wants with his voice. He's a nice and talented guy.

Well, I finally got round to purchasing Curtis Mayfield's first solo album. I love it. I love its musical virtuosity, its sheer style and its potent lyrics (was more than surprised to hear the N-word in the opening minute of the first song). '(Don't Worry) If There's A Hell Below We're All Going To Go", "We The People Who Are Darker Than Blue" and "Move On Up" are my favourite tracks, but the album as a whole is just brilliant. Thanks for the suggestion Valda, I don't regret b*ying the CD.
