I find what you are saying, Liteuplee, to be so over the top and defensive and think you should just stop. Just stop now. FMUK is not this kind of place and you have no right to speak to another member in this way.

Re: Football
Draw whatever conclusions you like, I havnt jumped on any bandwagons I have seen all the evidence and the fact is Suarez used Evra's race to rile him which in my eyes is the very definition of racism. The word may not have been overtly racist but the feeling behind it definitely was. Are you seriously saying that telling someone " I dont talk to black people" and incessantly referring to their race isnt racist? It clearly upset Evra. Admitting to what you said doesn't automatically mean its ok. Suarez needed to learn that you cant get away with that. A line could have been drawn under this if the fans and the club had quietly accepted the ban but the panto started with wearing those ridiculous shirts, abuse of the Oldham player, monkey impressions then suarez refusing to shake evras hand...i'm sorry but it all looks very bad for the kick it out campaign no matter what the intentions of the club.
Anyway its clear we arent going to see eye to eye on this and you are incapable of debating without making it personal, so I think it is probably best to move on but please do tell me what "my type" apparently doesnt understand....

Re: Football
Im being defensive because we were posting on here about football and then someone came in and started slating us. I don't see why I shouldn't be able to defend myself, my team and team players to a newbie that has come in on the bonce when that isn't how this site work's at all. Ive never been spoken to in this manner all the time I've been a member of this site, which is a fair while now. I've had lots of pleasant banter and am friends with members on this site and don't enjoy being slated by someone that Ive had no dealing with before and hope not to again. People have opinions, which is fine, but I've never known people on here to verbally attack other members. Thats not what this site is about and never has been until tonight.ejwrank wrote:I find what you are saying, Liteuplee, to be so over the top and defensive and think you should just stop. I am more than happy to drop it as myself and that, are obviously worlds apart, but if that keeps going, so will I!!!!! OK??

Re: Football
LiteupLee I apologise if you felt you were being attacked but that was most definitely not my intention, although I felt all the aggressive comments came from you. I feel very stronlgy about racism and hate to see it get out of hand in my beloved sport. I hope we can discuss the match on saturday a bit less emotionally!

Re: Football
I don't read this thread as I have no interest whatsoever in football but I was alerted to two members having an argument here. I know that fans can get heated up but this is ridiculous. I'll respectfully ask you to stop this right now, or I'll assert my admin powers in a way you won't like. This isn't MSE. Ok?

Re: Football
Phfft... someone (a Gooner) asked me today if I really followed Arsenal. It shocked him when I said 'Yeah, I was at the match on Sunday'. The cheek was when I asked if he watched it and he didn't even watch it on TV, but only the MOTD highlights... and he asks me if I'm a real Gooner
.
Then he asks me what changes would I have made to the team on Sunday if I could have picked them
. We won, what's the point of changing them. If we'd won 7-2 OH would be still
now! Tough T*tty really.

Re: Football
No tilly, even better, my friend and his son have a season ticket. His son is at Uni :). He was going to come home for Sunday's match, but due to the last few defeats and a long journey, he decided to watch it in a pub.tilly wrote:My husband is jealous you have a season ticket as i know they are hard to find.

I've never seen Arsenal lose, so I told my friend to change the name on his son's season ticket to 'Sunny Saver'.

Re: Football
Good god! Did anyone just see that collision in the England v Holland game?! Horrible to watch and they keep replaying it. I think they're ok overall (missing teeth / concussion notwithstanding), thankfully.
