Free Tastecard membership (now nationwide) - various lengths

I missed out on the annual membership card last time too or even the 1 month trial one....Hopefully I might get the 1 month trial one this time, thanks to Beate!

Thank you for the info, Beate - I shall have to see if my card turns up, though it sounds as though it may be no better, or perhaps not even as good, as the usual coupons. Juggling the coupons, with their various expiry dates and restrictions, can be a bit of a pain but chain restaurants are useful for vegetarians as you know which ones are suitable.

I got an e-mail from "Time Out" today, advertising a one month trial, so I signed up, once I found no credit card details were required. My local paper ran this offer very recently, but I didn't proceed because in that case, you did have to enter card details, then cancel later. I was unsuccessful with the MSE offer and very annoyed about the waste of time - Taste London should have anticipated the level of demand and planned for it. What I would like to know is, how useful is it if you don't actually eat out in central London very often, but in the suburbs? Can anyone answer this, please? "Time Out" said it covered Pizza Express, but for months there have been 2-for-1 deals there anyway.

We got the same offer at work plus a membership for £29.95. A few of us took it up. Not all Pizza Express' are in the Taste London offer, but as you say, you can get two for the price of one. I was rather disappointed with the range of restaurants, take out the chains restaurants and there's not that much on offer, depending on where you live. I had to laugh that a place near me that went bust a year or so ago is still on the books

Boyf's month membership arrived today. A little longer than a month (only by two days). But glad it's arrived.

I've not used it yet, luckily as I'm in central London there's a variety of restaurants to choose from. My favourite is Mango Tree, which is fortunate as the offer is 50% off the food bill.

I've not tried Prezzo before...

I've not used mine yet so don't know. I think in certain places (like Pizza Express possibly) you don't need to make a phone booking. They welcome the card anytime.
