Man City probably win the title even after their dismal display on Sunday. What do other FMUK users think?

Re: Football
Went to bed last night when the Arsenal vs Newcastle match had been played for 90 minutes and the score was 1-1. Pleasantly surprised to log onto BBC to see we won 2-1. Having said that, it's sad when you're aspirations are to finish above Spurs.
Entered a competition to watch this match in the company of Ian Wright and other pundits, had great doubts that I'd win it (and I was right), because the comp was entitled 'A night in with the lads'.

What a performance and what a hatrick for Gerrard!
Liverpool 3-0 Everton! Best game I've seen from Carroll in a Liverpool shirt

Anything would've been an improvement after 'that' performance against Sunderland.sikmansam wrote:What a performance and what a hatrick for Gerrard!

But yeah... good all-round team performance.
Interesting to see Bayern turn on the style against Basel. There was some doubts about them getting through after Basel had played so well in the first leg. I suppose it helps that the final will be played in your 'home' ground.
Oh, and about City winning the title... not sure if they have the mentality to make a fight for it. Apparently they have a much tougher run in than United and it looks like key players are not playing as they did earlier in the season (i.e. Silva, Dezko, etc.). The only factor that could affect United seeing it through would be injuries/suspensions to key players like Giggs, Scholes and/or Rooney. Not sure if the players that would come in are adequate replacements. Should be interesting ... lets hope so at least.

Indeed... some comeback and no disrespect but doubt that it would've been possible with the previous manager.superhero wrote:Well done chelski!
Unlucky fella AVB.
Going to be interesting to see who they get in the next round...
