Call me crazy (or just weird) but I didn't think it was gory at all.
So much of the movie was shot in the dark that it was hard to make out any real detail whatsoever.

I think maybe the sounds that accompanied those scenes made it seems worse.

It's just strange that the Hunger Games have to cut a few seconds of blood to make a 12A but the next grade up at 15 you can have a veritable bloodbath.

Yeah but a 15 is nobody under at all, a 12a you can be any age as long as you are accompanied by an adult.

I didn't find it to be gory due
how it's actually presented. It's over the top which reduces the horror aspect of it to me. It's silly chaos painted red. Even some of the jump scenes are humorous because of how it's played. Dana tells Holden he's "missing the point" moments before he truly gets the point. It's great!
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

For some people just don't do blood/violence at all though, I don't normally and made an exception for this but it seems that a lot of people that didn't enjoy it missed those subtle-tees.

The gore is defintely cartoonish, that's the best type of gore I love in films like this. The gore that really turns me off is the realistic ones that you get in gritty war based movies such as Schindler's List or Saving Private Ryan.
