LOL no he was lovely and very funny! Thanks will do, although I'm not great at recognising people. Oh yeah he did tell me that story, I bet he won't mess with your OH again! :giggle:

I like horror films but found this rather tedious. The supposed plot twists were not very inventive or surprising. It was a kind of reverse Adustment Bureau.

it seemed to be a mishmash of
1-the cube (the government bit)
2-van helsing (the monsters bit)
3-cabin fever (the cabin bit)
with the end section being
4-Operation: Endgame

the above are excellent movies - extracting the basis of each into 1 film is not, the person i went with described it as "stupid"

I was catching up on other people's comments but gave up a few pages ago after all the spoiler tags!

I thought this was brilliant. It was inventive, playful, dramatic, comedic, satirical and gory all at once. I never thought the gore was too much but maybe I have become accustomed to it in TV and films so it doesn't bother me like it used to. There were some moments that had me in stitches. I could never tell how it was going to play out, so I didn't see the ending coming. The finale was a bit OTT but at least the film built up to something crazy and unpredictable. I think this is my favourite film of the year. I wish I could watch it again. 9/10.

I did watch it again tonight, and is just as good on a second viewiing. I can't believe that I must have micro- Zzzzz'd at the same point again as I missed seeing the bit where they read the diary in the cellar. I have no recollection of the "Patience" character who ? wrote the diary. I have to admit that I felt my eyes "resting" for a few moments early on in the story. This was no reflection on the movie, but a late night last night coupled with a warm dark comfortable cinema. Lol.

Still ace!

I waved to you as you were looking around for a seat - late as usual!! :nono: There was an empty seat beside us but I would have given you a dig in the ribs if you had started to snore. ;) Patience was the girl with only one arm.

I quite enjoyed the film but rather gory and a bit weird for me - probably why you wanted to watch it again, stuartboy!
