Re: FMUK Comic Book Fans!
Just read the Master Race. Thanks for the GIF links AYBG. Its a good disturbing short story in true classic old fashioned twilight zone style. But I think it gives itself away, I kinda felt where it was going. I take it you've finished shooting and now editing/post production? I just wonder if one of your your challenges is to make sure the ending is not predictable? If so, may I suggest all you need to ensure is that we dont know the name of the main protagonist! It was just that simple element which made me suspect where the story was heading. Anyway, again good luck and let us know how it goes.

Well, I mean, given that many of the Jews sent to Concentration Camps were German, it shouldn't have been a giveaway. Obviously once you get what's happening, it becomes clearer and clearer what's happening, but if you don't guess it there are enough red herrings to make the ending a shock. What I love about the story is that these red herrings prove to be clues when you go back and read it again.
Finished it a couple of weeks ago, though I don't have permission to post online yet.

Re: FMUK Comic Book Fans!
Maybe having read so many short stories I jump to conclusion too early, spoiling the ending for myself. I do that often, cant bloody help it.
Congratulations on completing it! I look forward to seeing it when its available. I watch a lot of short movies, particularly on Atom.com. The best comic book short movie has to be Dead End which I'm sure you know about. But for those that havent seen it:

It's up - a little bit of suspension of disbelief needed (obviously it's neither 1955 or America, and the characters would look a lot older) and there's some shocking imagery, but I hope you enjoy it

Oh well done, mate. Obviously as you say, you would have limitations filming it authentically. But your editing and camerawork was excellent, not to mention you stayed faithful to the original source down to every word! Is this a project for your studies or an addition to your portfolio?

Re: FMUK Comic Book Fans!
Thanks very much!! Not all the camera work was mine though... some of the better shots were conceived and executed by other people in my group...
It's part of my course, but I've been wanting to make it ever since I read it. We were told to make a short film based on an unexpected encounter, and when I remembered Master Race and realised it would fit the bill I was very happy :)

Hi
First post here, but thanks for the recommendation of Master Race, really enjoyed it.
If anyone else fancies reading other Graphic Novels on a similar storyline, then try Maus by Art Spiegelman. Truly fantastic bit of writing....
Kev.

Re: FMUK Comic Book Fans!
hehe.. joining the party late but I love comic books! my favourite character is actually Flash especially the Wally West version. but I'm excited to see Barry Allen back as Flash. should be good. it's too bad they never really made a stand-alone Flash animated series or even a movie
but after Flash, I'd definitely say BATMAN!
and joker
my favorite movie would definitely be dark knight
so anyone want to share any graphic novels read lately they were impressed with?
