44 Inch Chest, a powerful and explosive drama of retribution and is the feature film debut of renowned photographer and commercial director Malcolm Venville.

Colin Diamond (RAY WINSTONE) is in agony, shattered by the bombshell of his wife’s (JOANNE WHALLEY) infidelity with a young French waiter. His motley crew of friends - Old Man Peanut (JOHN HURT), Meredith (IAN MCSHANE), Archie (TOM WILKINSON), and Mal (STEPHEN DILLANE) - kidnap Loverboy (MELVIL POUPAUD), and assemble a kangaroo court so that Colin can restore his manhood with revenge. A very bumpy night ensues for Loverboy whose life is at stake as Colin wrestles with heartbreak, anger, madness, love and gargantuan self-pity.

Potent, provocative and outrageously profane, this visceral exploration of the masculine ego at breaking point is penned by Sexy Beast writers Louis Mellis and David Scinto,

Bloody Wandsworth! What's wrong with West India Quay these days?

I know it's no use to you London members but I will be glad of a Crawley screening as there has been nothing since Harry Brown on 9 November - 5 weeks ago now - and nothing scheduled for 2010 either, apart from this. Other regular locations have also been overlooked recently.

WIQ would be even more useless for me than 'Bloody Wandsworth'. I tried Wandsworth once but it was such a pain to get to, I haven't bothered again. Living in West London, WIQ would be just as bad. I just ignore the Total Film screenings now. I think a central London screening would be fairer for everyone. Having said that I'm sure people who live in other cities and towns that never get screenings are probably thinking 'At least London gets them!', so I guess we shouldn't complain too much.

Well lets hope there's other SFF screenings for 44 Inch chest unlike for this month with Precious. I think they should do more,as a film like 44 Inch chest would really need some promoting (then again I said the same for Precious)

Just got tickets for this in Didsbury. Thanks for the code AnneJ.

I was gutted not to win tickets to the screening in December in Manchester that had a Q&A with John Hurt afterwards.

Cast is fanstastic, so fingers crossed this could be a great one.

Anyone seen it yet?

I had to go for Enfield. It's just round the corner from my home, but as I'll be travelling straight from work... it's gonna be a real hustle to make it, but half the fun is the journey

Sounds like a good tense rough thriller.

Has anyone checked out the official website? Its quite clever but at first I thought I must have clicked on an advert by accident. But start clicking and things start changing in a most sinister way...
