Do movie trailers now reveal too much?

Yes they contain too many giveaways of the plot and can ruin the film.

No they show enough to make one want to see the movie without spoiling it.

Hell yeah! The trailers nowadays last about 3 minutes. I don't wanna know the whole story.

I try not to watch any trailers. The information Sky or SFF give is enough for me.

I do think it's a delicate balance so do generally avoid trailers. . . . going to all the free previews with no trailers makes this easier! o/
This is true but how on earth do you avoid trailers completely? When you watch a film (not screening) the first 10mins are just trailers of other films. i did try and avoid them by staying to b*y popcorn but then i missed 2 mins of the actual film. :tears:

Agreed some trailers do give away the plot. The other thing I don't like is when the trailer footage is not included in the film. Many action films look good in the trailer (and sometimes they are scenes I look forward to in the film) but they are ommited. :(
