Aarrrrggghhh... Guess I need to play catchup with Lost Girl now.raj101 wrote:it did! I liked the lead characters but its a very poor mans Xfiles at best. The ridiculous plots and lack of direction may work better for you if you are more of a New Age Mulder-type than a scientific Scully because they dont even bother explaining them lol.Flabber wrote:Lost Girl looks good... caught a bit of it a couple days back and might need to catch-up on the series.raj101 wrote:...Theres a rich vein of really decent 'fae and fantasy' tv shoes around at the moment, this, GOT and Lost Girl - 2012 is becoming an annus mirabilis for fantasy fans.
Been watching Haven and while the pilot looked promising, I'm worried its going to taper off into the ridiculous…
but Lost Girl rocks. Only problem is how to deal with the withdrawal symptoms inbetween seasons. I have decided to split season 2 into two miniseasons with a break so I dont have to go cold turkey over the summer lol.
Oh well....luckily i don't have to worry about getting to far ahead of myself unlike you

Re: TV Series: Discuss, Review, Anticipate, and Wotnot
The various cancellations and renewals are scattered about the thread. There are still a few shows that haven't been given a final decision but the list can be found here: http://tvdonewright.com/2012-2013-previ ... ion-chart/
In interesting news, Cougar Town has been cancelled by ABC but TBS has picked it up for 2 more seasons.

Bah, frustrating that Awake is cancelled.
Almost finished season 1 of "suits". Enjoying that...glad to see it has been renewed!

Unforgettable's gone too, but then I'm not even sure it knew where it was going itself. Drop the U and N for a more suitable title. But I was intrigued for a while with the premise of the show - a woman who uses her mental illness to fight crime.
Did anyone else notice the way Carrie's personality changed midway through the season from cold fish to bright and breezy? As if they were trying to up the ratings by making her more lively.

It had an interesting concept but I dropped Unforgettable quite early on as it became very formulaic. It was nothing special so no surprise it got cancelled.
