Glad to know I am not alone, though not surprised. I know what you mean about the old days, I remember we had very little and most of our clothes/toys came from jumble sales and school fayres and as you say you washed stuff and put it back on again. I remember only having 1 set of uniform and 2 shirts and they were washed for the next day. I have just cleared out some of my bedding which is still in good condition to put in my charity bag to take when I next have a chance, I must have at least 6 duvet sets, though I do have 2 duvets on my bed as I get cold, but I b*y a new one and then the old ones, even though not worn out just get left behind. I really need to have a look through my wardrobe before going and at least get rid of a couple of things. Its the way things are nowadays everyone thinks they just have to b*y stuff all the time, if I go shopping with my daughter its a bad day if she comes home with nothing. We only used to get new clothes (sometimes 2nd hand) at christmas and holiday times except for uniforms and could probably have put all my clothes in a small suitcase, now I would probably need at least 6 large ones.
I thought I was the worst rawsalsa, but I think you have me beat as I dont really have a loft as such to store, though I am considering getting some of it boarded over to use
Re BOGOFs, I am much better nowadays than I used to be and realise they are not always the bargain they appear, but when they are and it is something I use then I do occasionally give in. I am picky about what I use in a lot of respects so even though I have supplies if one of my preferred brands is at an irrestible price then I still b*y. I do regularly check through my food cupboards and make sure re the dates. With regard to the health and beauty stuff not sure how long some of it lasts, but I do try and use up the oldest and open stuff first. I have rarely had to throw stuff out as its spoiled.
I must admit I b*ght some more clothes in Asda today

I went in to return a top and they had a 1/2 price sale and I couldnt resist looking

but I did spot the dress I had decided to keep at 1/2 price so didnt return the top and b*ght the 1/2 price dress and a load more stuff, wouldnt have b*ght so much but the changing rooms were out of order so b*ght some stuff in several sizes as I knew how quick the sale stuff would go. On a good point I can now return the full price dress and top tomorrow. I will also return a lot of the stuff I b*ght tonight on another visit and am only keeping 2 or 3 things, which is quite good for me. Had I been able to try on instore I am sure I would have only b*ght a few things, maybe its a ploy by Asda to close the changing rooms to trick you into b*ying more!!!
