If you class writing the warning after the spoiler as a clear warning, then you can obviously make anything seem logical and reasonable in your own mind. The fact that the comment served no purpose at all will presumably also make no difference to you.

I suppose next you'll be telling me not to reveal who dies at the end of The Passion Of The Christ... :P

Just saw this tonight at the BFI thanks to Beate who gave us her tickets and made all the arrangements. It's a very odd film but extremely well done and it will certainly leave you guessing and wondering just what it's all about. Husband saw if some time ago (he pa*d to see it) and raved about it. Daughter and I wouldn't go that far but it is very well made and thought-provoking and that can't be a bad thing!

I've just reread this thread and most of the comments have nothing to do with this film. I wonder what others thought of it.

Austrian director Michael Haneke's "The White Ribbon," a chilling exploration of the roots of Nazi terror, dominated the European Film Awards on Saturday, winning three prizes including best film.

"The White Ribbon" also won the prestigious Palme d'Or at the Cannes film festival earlier this year.

The 2,000-member European Film Academy awarded Haneke the best film, best director and best screenwriter prizes at the 22nd anniversary ceremony in Bochum, in the industrial Ruhr area of western Germany.

I saw this tonight - my first free film of 2010!

I found it quite enthralling and the time seemed to pass quickly, despite it being a 2 1/2 hour long black and white subtitled film.
Some great performances from the child actors involved in this. I was a bit disappointed by the ambiguity of the ending (or maybe it is just me that didn't get it). It is certainly a film that will stick in my mind for a long time afterwards.

8/10 from me ( would have scored higher but for the ending)
