Happy Ever Afters

#1 Post by Ms Thrifty » Sun Jan 03, 2010 3:36 pm

Does anyone know why this "Screwball Irish Wedding Comedy" was released in Ireland on 24 December but doesn't even have a UK release date? Or maybe that tagline says it all? I've never previously pa*d any attention to Irish release dates, only usually to UK vs US ones. It features Sally Hawkins and the reviews on IMDB are quite good, so why no UK date - anyone know?

Oh, it's with Sally Hawkins, I can't wait! Even though it means queuing up on a cold morning in front of the Odeon Greenwich.

What I find interesting is the original site claims to only have 10 pairs of tickets, yet there are 17 sites. So presumably its 10 pairs per screen, so these will run out fast.

I will, should there be any previews near me and on a day when I'm not working - "no" to both so far...!

For the folks with tickets to Odeon Greenwich: the Jubilee Line is helpfully fully suspended that day so you need to approach by bus or car.

Happy Ever Afters

#10 Post by sharkgirl » Sun Mar 14, 2010 1:22 pm

Oh dear, thought it looked good being Irish financed and about a wedding, couldn't justify wasting my time and watching till the end, left early, disappointing and very predictable, infact can't remember anyone laughing out loud whilst I was in the auditorium
