Re: Jubilee Family Festival at Hyde Park this weekend
Well Hyde Park was a bit of a blow out, half of the military acts were cancelled due to the rain, 2 hour queues to get into kids shows. Came home before the finale and the rain!

Re: Jubilee Family Festival at Hyde Park this weekend
very badly organised. no directions to get to the entrance!
ok for a free show, i'd feel bad if i had to spend £20 on it.

Re: Jubilee Family Festival at Hyde Park this weekend
Oh dear, I had a superb day on Saturday, the sun shone and yes, we had to queue for everything but it was not excessive, usually about 5 minutes, and we got free drinks and snacks, activities, photos taken, there were shows to watch on the different stages, there were amazing things dotted around the park, a giant red bunny, a giant peach, the Magic of Disney was brilliant, and then the Lion King was fantastic, and then on the way out we were given a free Jubilee Family Festival Bag, as many as we wanted!

My friend who went said most things you had to p*y for (or I assume my friend was scared off by the long queues for the free things)

I did not p*y for a thing, but some people on twitter did complain about £10 for a beer - agreed that is a rip off!

Re: Jubilee Family Festival at Hyde Park this weekend
I can't imagine a long queue for the £10 beers

Re: Jubilee Family Festival at Hyde Park this weekend
We were there Sunday afternoon. Can't say we were lucky with the weather.
We didn't do all of it, when the weather was half decent there were crowds everywhere, and when it was pouring with rain we were trying to stay dry so were staying with the same activity/brand name. (I don't think there was a chance to watch the shows under cover, only Punch and Judy?)
Kids enjoyed cake decorating, sandwich making, etc.
My highlight was hand and arms treatment in the "spa bus"
We saw the end of Disney concert, mainly the Lion King bit.
I agree they could have put some more thought into organising this.

Re: Jubilee Family Festival at Hyde Park this weekend
It's an outdoor event like all festivals that I have been too, so I was prepared for it, but luckily for me the sun came out on Saturday. All the families that came on a Saturday had a great time, saw lots of smiling and happy kiddies on the way out, and asking their parents, "can we come again"!
Shame the bad weather on Sunday spoilt it for so many.
Here's some photos of the highlight of my day
