I joined SFF in november 2005, for my first movie with them.
My first with the times was september 2004.
The film factory, now rather defunct for screenings, january 2002.
Firstmovies, defunct and taken over, june 2002.
...and I properly started with applications from the Simon Mayo show on radio one with the movie of the month feature. I had postcards, ready for the box, to apply as soon as a movie in my area was announced. Its a bit far back now but likely my first was in 1998.
Before that my mum worked in the local ABC so I was seeing free films in the seventies and eighties that way.

So can anyone trump 35 years of free films?

Haha certainly not me! Have only known about seefilmfirst for about 2 years I think. Have only been to maybe 3 or 4 free screenings as I don't seem to get many codes from them directly. Hopefully will see a few more now that I am registered here! :)

I have been with SFF for about a year - and only had a few free screenings. Well done to you Steve.

I used to see 1 or 2 free film previews every month via Flicks, Empire Magazine, and Total Film back in the early 90s. I used to be a big film fan subscribing religiously to various film mags such as Starburst, Empire, Variety, Premiere, Sight and Sound, and some American import mags too. Way over the top. Anyone remember the free Flicks magazine, it used to be freely distributed in cinemas and after reading it, you would have ink all over your hands. But it always had a film preview which I always got a ticket because I would go straight to the cinema and collect them! In a way, the internet has numbed down my life a bit despite all its glory of information at your fingertips. Its just that it was exciting going to the cinema just to collect the tickets before they're gone. I always succeeded though as I worked in central London. I dont b*y the mags anymore either because I can read so much on the internet but again that's eliminated my joy of the days when I go to WH Smiths, reading the mags impatiently in store even though I'm going to b*y the damn thing!

I only started the seefilmfirst in September and it feels great seeing previews of new films again!

First thing I saw was in 2006 I think, it was very easy to get tickets back then!
