2 things... Catherine Hardwicke, who directed the first, was reportedly incredibly hard to work with in the first film's shoot. Not saying anything on the film's final quality, though obviously something like that would have an effect. Before Twilight was even released it was clear Hardwicke wouldn't be employed for New Moon. 2nd thing, all 3 Spiderman films were directed by Raimi. Perhaps you mean Bryan Singer and the X-Men films?

Interesting I saw on Vue Greenwich website, they are doing over 18 screenings. I think it's precisely for people sick of the young girls watching the film and going wahhh. They must have done some kind of a focus group and realised that lots of people want to see it but dont want to be in a crowd of young girls going wahhhh...

I went to see New Moon over the weekend and thought this must be one of the most bizarre "blockbuster" ever. When you think of films getting $300 million dollars in the US, you think films like Harry Potter, LOTR,POTC. They've "beefed" up this film with some menacing CGI wolves, but mostly the film is about longing looks and pining for loved ones.
I thought this film was alittle bit worse than Twilight, the storyline just didn't make much sense, I didn't see such a "big" danger in the beginning that made Edward have to leave town, no reason for him to want to die and then not die the next moment. Then again I am not a "Twilight Mum" hence didn't b*y into the whole romance of it.
No one actually went "Wahhh" in the cinema, but the first time Taylor Lautner went topless, there were giggles from the crowd. I think they did overdo the topless thing quite abit in the film and it was a little excessive, but I guess thats to please their core audience.
5/10

I've just finished reading the New Moon book and am finally going to see the film tonight. Not sure what the film is going to be like, Taylor looks very young compared to the way I pictured Jacob in my head when I was reading the book!!

I really liked the film, thought it was better than Twilight, although I did feel sorry for Jacob.

Twilight star's Eclipse script ends up on the internet! 8O

A Twilight star has landed himself in hot water after his script for the next instalment of the blockbuster franchise was leaked onto the internet.
Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper in the hugely successful films, is sure to be feeling red faced after his copy of Eclipse found its way onto the net. The script, which has Rathbone's name emblazoned all over it, is in blue - which means it's an early version of the script and is over 110 pages long, reports The Examiner.
The first scene sees the introduction of Bryce Dallas Howard as the evil bloodsucker Victoria and her attempts to turn a young man into a vampire.
Summit Entertainment has so far refused to comment on the leak.

It's not the first time Summit have had script leaks with the franchise. A copy of the New Moon script was found in the bin outside a beauty salon early last year.
