hope it is ok to post this
NHS North West London is reorganising hospital services and is proposing closing four of the nine A&E centres in the area.
The proposals would mean closure of A&E services at Charing Cross and downgrading it to a 'local' hospital

seems daft to close an A+E department in one of the more accessible hospitals in london.
Its that new white elephant of a hospital on Euston Road they ought to never have opened, the silly sausages. Thats impossible for ambulances to reach in a hurry.

UCL students! You knew one of my pet hates.
'oh i'm not really rich but i did choose to live in totally expensive Euston to study' ahem, quite.

Good Luck, the angle to fight this is will the other A&E's cope in the area with the loss of this service and to look around the country at where similar has happend, not the distance to travel to an A&E, since Hemel & Welwyn A&E's in Herts have closed it can be quite common to have a 4-5 hour at Watford even midweek, waiting room is currently full to bursting!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

The same thing happened when they wanted to close guys A+E and we thought it will never work in place there is a minor injury unit which is run by Nurses that works because they get all the minor things in so it does not clog up the A+e at st THomas. Its not good for the communities but may be they will replace it with a minor Injury unit.
