Re: Brave
I'm looking forward to seeing this one - getting lots of good write-ups in the press.

I'm feeling jealous, sf!soonforgotten wrote:I was fortunate enough to catch this on Wednesday, as I have an interview with one of the directors and producers tomorrow. I have to say that this was not exactly a film I was terribly excited about. Gorgeous animation aside, it just didn't look like the kind of film I'd expect from Pixar.
And the truth it, it's not, but true to Pixar's abilities it is absolutely phenomenal. I'd guess it's almost certain to land in my top 3 of the year and I could easily see this getting a best pic nomination, which would be well deserved.
So here's my glowing, gushing review (spoiler-free, as always): http://londonfilmfanatiq.com/2012/07/01/brave/

There was a showing in Edinburgh last night to close the Edinburgh Film Festival . . . did anyone manage to win tickets from the few comps which were around? August seems a long way away. . .

Re: Brave
Perfectly written. Did you enjoy La Luna just as much as Brave? And did you catch the wee tiny bit at the end of the credits? I agree this could be one of my top three films of the year. Pity wikipedia has most of the plot on it already. Try not to read it or see the trailer as they do reveal some of the best bits.soonforgotten wrote:I was fortunate enough to catch this on Wednesday, as I have an interview with one of the directors and producers tomorrow.
