With 9 days to go, this is already becoming a nightmare. Driving in London around the O2 is just pathetic. From the Olympic lane and the rephasing the traffic lights near Kidbrooke I'm just astounded at how bad this is. And the Olympics havent even stared yet!
Is it just me that finds the driving absolutely absurd?

I spotted Olympic lanes in the oddest places today, and shall be avoiding driving through London for the duration. The roundabout going into Canary Wharf is completely changed and there appear to be benches in the oddest places - perhaps they think the tourists / athletes would like to sit and watch traffic. I can only presume it's been done for the Olympics...

incidentally, why are the athletes not flying into Stansted (East of London) rather than LHR and having to drive across London?

Stansted is in no way big enough to handle the huge influx of people expected for the games. I also think Stansted only handles European flights.

I hope many others also got to the Paralympics and support people who have overcome HUGE difficulties.
I'm sure these athletes will put there whole heart and soul into their performances and their will be no prima donnas!

I was lucky enough to get athletics tickets for the Olympics and I also got swimming tickets during the Paralympics. Looking forward to both. Didn't realise there were still tickets for the Paralympics, may have to check to see what else may be of interest.

I booked tickets to see the athletics at the paralympics - looking forward to seeing Oscar Pistorius aka blade runner. £20 can't go wrong, and you get to see the stadium. If any ones interested Oscar Pistorius runs in the athletics Categories T43 & T44 100m, 200m and 400m.
