Who needs Christmas in December, when you can have it in July.

Sounds like the perfect afternoon to me. So pleased that you had a fabulous timeSunny Saver wrote:Andrews reminded me about this thread, so am coping my post over to here.
Just went to Thorntons' Christmas Party to taste this Christmas' chocolates. It was so much fun, it was at a building near Chinatown and there was a Christmas wreath at the door, then one of Santa's elves let you in.
There were a group of carol singers on the stairs and the building was beautifully decorated, with snow on the windows. We were taken to a room that had an eight-foot chocolate Christmas tree and, you guessed it, a table full of Thorntons' chocolate/confectionery.
However, we were well supplied with savoury canapes too and my favourite snack... wasabi peas. We were also plied with warm mulled wine.
We were treated to a chocolate-tasting session with Thorntons' Chief Chocolatier, Keith. And after all that chocolate, we were given a very generous goodie bag to take home.
It was a tough afternoon, but someone had to do it . I behaved really well, so I hope I get invited again next year!
