I really liked this and was completely blown away by the animation. The attention and detail given to Merida's hair is mind boggling. Great voice cast, good family message, nice touches of humour and gorgeous animation. The 3D darkened the picture without enhancing the movie experience so was not strictly necessary. Perhaps the secondary characters could have been stronger (and a cute animal/sidekick was missing) and the film does drag slightly in the middle. Not as good as Tangled but a decent addition to the Disney collection. 8.5/10

I've tried every character name from the film as a code. Disney Tangled code was Flynn so going on that premise I have had a go at sticking some names in. I think someone will need to go to the petrol station at 6am for a copy of TMOS

I loved this film! o/ It was great to have an original story with great animation. :star:
Thought the characters were really good. No-one could have been a better voice for Fergus than Billy Connolly.
What a great way to spend a Saturday morning . . . and in the company of Yinster :star: & Teddybear1 :star: and OHs.

Marks 9.5/10

Everything she said!

While I loved the look and feel of the movie (Scotland is so gorgeous, gah!) I really did miss a little more development for the secondary characters (the boys didn't even have names!) and a funny animal side-kick (Angus was no Maximus).

So while it was no Tangled, it was still very good and I'll give it a 9/10.
