The Dark Knight Rises

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Managed to see TDKR 3 times in 2 days when it came out, including a morning IMAX show in Manchester. The IMAX was definitely the best way to experience it and Nolan is very correct in saying it's the real new film technology we should be supporting (as opposed to 3D). And the film itself holds up to repeat viewing as well, it's such an amazing film.
Planning to see it another time too but currently going through a Chris Nolan marathon as this film once again made me appreciate what a truly talented director and storyteller he is.

Christopher Nolan kept saying it would be the last "Batman" film, but there is speculation in the US that Robin will reappear as Nightwing.... http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/20 ... nightwing/
Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Chris Nolan is signed on as producer for when DC/WB reboot Batman again. How long they leave it before they do that, I do not know. I don't think they need a reboot for a long, long time but WB will want the money they know Batman brings.
Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Didn't think this was the best Batman or the best ending but still worth a watch 8/10
Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I thought it was really good..
Still think (and mainly for the Heath effect) The Dark Knight eclipses this but has there been a better comic book film trilogy?

The Dark Knight Rises - Justifying The Plot Niggles
Anyone out there fed up with all those articles dedicated to highlighting each minor plot niggle with The Dark Knight Rises?
If so, then you are like me! However, I can't seem to justify Bane and - spoiler alert, stop reading if you've not seen - Talia's plan. Why keep Gotham's citizens there for 5 months? I reckon the only reason is that, as Bane says to Batman earlier, true punishment is when you are given hope?
Thoughts?

Of course, it was to punish them by giving them hope.ClarkKent77 wrote:Anyone out there fed up with all those articles dedicated to highlighting each minor plot niggle with The Dark Knight Rises?

And btw
there is a spoiler button.
Don't forget Bane lied too. If his plan had worked, the bomb was always going to explode even if nobody ever crossed the bridge. Thereby giving FALSE hope
