We're all going to the evening showing. Wanted the early one but my son has a late kick-off so would have been pushing it to get there in time.

Should be a laugh anyway.......

Wow, that was BRILLIANT! We got our tickets really early, went there at 1.30pm for a bite to eat and discovered they have a special ticket window outside just for SFF tickets! You don't need to show ID, just hand your printout over. It's a shame the huge arena didn't completely fill up, especially the sides were quite empty, we had empty seats in front of us as well. Thankfully we got seats in the middle bit. And although I would have personally chosen to sit a bit higher, the seats were great. At 3.25pm the cast of Mamma Mia the Musical came on stage and performed for about 10 minutes, which was very nice.

Three things I'd like to say to those who are going tonight:
a) Wrap up warm, the arena isn't too cosy.
b) If you aren't completely deaf from your disco days, ear plugs will be a good idea as the sound is on MAX (the ear plugs are even a good idea in Pizza Express, what a din in there).
c) If you bring your own drinks, take an extra bottle top as they will take them off your bottle for some strange health & safety reason which I still don't understand.

You will have fun. There was a great atmosphere and people were singing, dancing and clapping along to the music, with a lot of people having dressed up. Meryl Streep moved me to tears for singing Winner Takes it All, she got a lot of applause for that. We were still singing on the way out! o/

"Thank you for the music, for the songs we're singing!"

Just got back from the O2. Like Beate said, earplugs are advisable. The music was too loud. And it was rather chilly inside the arena. A blanket would have been really nice. Otherwise, the atmosphere was good. People singing along and dancing at the end. It was the first time I watched the movie. I was rather surprised how some of the cast were such terrible singers!

Yes Pierce Brosnan gets points for trying but Meryl Streep is excellent. It was a proper sing-a-long version, with the lines from the songs appearing on screen like on a karaoke machine, I wasn't expecting that!

I was also there at 3.30. We were sitting in the lower tier of seats (the block 1s) to the side of the stage. We went into the O2 chill out zone beforehand and were given free drinks! Nice bonus as I had just refused to p*y for a £2 bottle of water from a stand outside. I don't think they do that often though as I noticed that the drinks had a price list. We took our seats at about 3.10 an it was quite empty on the sides. The floor seats filled up nicely (not sure if I would have wanted to be at the back of the floor seats though).

I've seen the film before and I wasn't very keen but seeing it this time was much better! Maybe it was the whole experience. Meryl Streep is great - I kept of thinking about Veronica Mars when I saw the actress who played her daughter as that is where I most associate her from (and I guess more recently the awful Jennifer's Body film).

Tried to get involved with the singalong but have to say my side was very quiet. What was the floor like with the singing? I saw people dancing at the end so it looked a lot more lively!

I pa*d £3 each for my 'free tckets' because of that annoying ticketmaster fee but we decided weeks ago that we wanted to see it and thought it would be well worth it if we could go for £3 each all in. Glad SFF released some tickets though - it would have been so empty. I kept on trying to look at people's tickets to see if anyone pa*d full price. I think I saw that the tickets were around £20 and that was not including the ticketmaster fee!

Also did anyone stay around to visit the British Music Experience? They were offering free entry for mamma mia ticket holders. Had a great time in there and stayed until we were kicked out at around 7.15. All in all a productive day!
