Weight Watchers
Re: Weight Watchers
A cookie monster that doesn't eat cookie?? :o
I know I know, now Cookie Monster is healthy and eats veggies... what a waste...
Tonight: quick croqu' (basically a croque-monsieur but only with ham and cheddar; no butter, no creme fraîche and no egg (ok that'd be a croque-madame)) + looaaaaads of red and yellow tomatoes + a chocolate mousse

Glad to have you back anakin and take the rest when your body needs it.anakin wrote:Octo, welcome back! Love that cute little octopus in your signature!
Great work everyone else, as ever! Sorry been quiet, but rest assured I am always cheering for you all. Just been busy and sleepy from work then trying to spend time with OH before it's not just the two of us anymore!
Diane - can't believe how much decorating you have done! I'd have pa*d someone to do all the stuff you're doing! Mind you I'm still waiting for you to come over to help me clear my stuff out!Am doing A good job actually, just getting less and less done as I expand! Though this is not ideal for this thread, I am happy to report that I am expanding nicely and could not be mistaken for slightly fat anymore
Anyway, keep it up people, and I'll be back soon!

I actually like doing DIY and painting

I will be down for the day in October and my intention was to visit Buckingham Palace (I have my ticket to see the Queen's diamonds) but after I have decluttered your belongings, decorated MrG's office and done the ironing for Beate and Ejwrank I maybe a tad pushed for time but I do like a challenge

Lovely to hear that you are expanding nicely

Its weigh in day for me tomorrow so I'm hoping that I haven't gained anything with my now increased daily calorie allowance

Re: Weight Watchers
Been very good today as I was swimming this morning (in the outdoor pool) and then walked to the supermarket. Tonight I walked to the cinema.
Food today was granola, a nectarine and cup of tea for breakfast. Lunch was a cibatta roll with salad. Tonight had cold roast beef with two small potatoes and mixed veg. Having a cup of tea and two crispbreads just now.
Hopefully will shed some of the weight I put on last week.

Re: Weight Watchers
Well done Octopus! But please dont think its all only about counting calories. Absolutely not. Its about quality calories. Cheesecake, mousse, dessert rich chocolate are far from being quality calories. You want to be healthy too. Do treat yourself a couple days a week or so but try not to eat too much saturated fat content food, as it will clog up your arteries over time (and lots of other bad things for your health) and you do not want that. I like the green tea, green beans, steamed potatoes (eat the skin too, lots of nutrition in that). Eat as much different colour veggies as you can. If you need ideas for good meals and want to count your calories, try this website database of healthy (and TASTY!) recipes where you can adjust calories parameters and type of food:
http://www.sparkrecipes.com/
Complement that with enough exercises too. But well done with the effort, I'm sure the menu is still an improvement on what you were eating before! Over time, you will gradually improve on it.
Hello Anakin, its always great to see you dropping by occasionally because I'm sure you're quite busy making preps and doing up the new room for your permanent new "guest"
Diane, yay to the RipCords, well done for getting them to reduce the price too
Today I ran 8miles (13km) to the cinema (peckham to Wimbledon) which is another £8 Samsung will donate to Childrens charity. Altogether raised £56 now but...no one has joined me
just a 1 mile walk to the office with your smartphone, and you've raised a £1!

Re: Weight Watchers
Biggins you are certainly back into the swing of things with your swim and 2 walks in day - I'm impressed. Octopus glad to see that you are thinking about what you eat just changing your mindset into eating a little less is brilliant. Well done MrG on all that money that you are raising for charity and all the running that you are doing
If I had a smartphone I would be joining you as I walk between 12 and 16 miles each week so it would all help.
Menu of the day:
Greek yoghurt and granola with a black coffee (300 calories)
Chicken and stuffing white bread barmcake made by my mother (hence white and large 350 calories) Weight Watchers nectarine yoghurt (50 calories)
2 Vegetable spring rolls with soy sauce and a large salad with lemon juice (250 calories) and a banana (100 calories)
2 slices of raisin bread and butter (300 calories)
Exercise DVD as exercise of the day.
Its weigh in day today and I'm hoping that I have maintained and not put on otherwise I will have to cut back from my extra calories
Have a fun day everyone and looking forward to hearing everyone's plans for the day

I can't live without chocolate and sweet food!!! I agreed with myself to be careful on quantities and greasy / fat food: more vegetables, more fruits, less in my plate for my stomach to get back to its 'normal' size and capacity.TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:Well done Octopus! I don't like yogurts, but I love chocolate and sweet savors other than fruits. I need calcium and dairy products and shouldn't eat biscuits. So I made a compromise: I'll have chocolate mousse or dessert, or flan, or strawberry yogurts... something sweeter than a simple dessert and that would prevent me from nibbling after my meal, as long as it's not too fat, or every day.
That's the best I can do for the moment

I hope that within a few months I'll be able to have chocolate mousse only once a week

I too have a sweet tooth and have never given up on sweets/chocolate. Low calorie jelly is brilliant and 10 calories for a regular portion but sometimes I have double portions if I have the real craving and it does work.Octopus wrote:I can't live without chocolate and sweet food!!! That's the best I can do for the momentI can't radically change my food habits. It's already a lot for me, you can't imagine how weird my tastes are! Usually I would eat Pringles, then chocolate right after, then crave for salty again... (no, I'm not pregnant)
I hope that within a few months I'll be able to have chocolate mousse only once a week
I have lost another 2lbs on my so called maintenance regime

Re: Weight Watchers
Well done Diane - 2lbs lose is fantastic and it must be all that decorating.
Now when you go to Berlin you need not worry about gaining weight as you are well under target now. Just watch you don't keep losing weight as that would be bad for you.
