I'm ashamed to say that I am a real dirty customer when it comes to phones, so future it's not really an issue as I usually don't use them for more than 2 years (I know I'm a bad bad person!)
HTC has a top notch customer service btw!

Oh don't feel bad - most smartphones become outdated within 2 years anyway, so upgrading really shouldn't be seen as taboo.
Glad to know HTC's customer service is great! Haven't had a need so far to call them up so far, but good to know if I do :)

The only way I'll get the iPhone 5 is if they replace Siri with Barry White!!

Hehehe, thank you priamia. That's a pretty cool bouncy elephant you've got there too ;)

BTW Did you guys read this regarding the battery-life on the i5?
Gizmodo wrote:8 hours of 3G talk time, 8 hours of LTE browsing, 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, 30 hours of video and 225 hours of standby.

Am I misunderstanding the concept of "standby"? Does that mean the phone is idle or is it actually switched off? Because 225 hours while idle is freakin' unbelievable! That just can't be true.

Stand-by time is the officially quoted longest time that a single battery charge will last when the phone is constantly connected to the GSM network but is not in active use. The stand-by time is highly dependent on the cellular network environment, such as the distance to the closest GSM cell tower (base station). Moving the phone (as in a vehicle) also negatively affects battery life.

Manufacturers measure talk time in controlled conditions and the quoted numbers are rarely reached in real-life scenarios. These numbers are best used as reference when comparing phones from the same manufacturer because battery life measurement methodology will probably vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

The battery life of the iPhones have been a real bugbear so this is a great improvement, if its true.

There are going to be many of these comparisons over the next few days: iPhone5 vs Lumia 920 vs GalaxyS3 vs One X
