Re: Ebay - Quandary
I would just go to second bid buyer or relist, tell ebay so you avoid fees. Its very easy when you are online to get carried away bidding on things especially if you have a rival bidder. I myself have b*ght things in a rash decision then realise later what did I do that for, however I have usually pa*d and received the items which then tend to be resigned to some cupboard/drawer forevermore (last p*rchase was a bargain, honest). Only once did I decide not to go through with p*rchase and was glad the person I was b*ying from was reasonable about it as well.

Re: Ebay - Quandary
Was this a reputable bidder (someone with some positive feedback) or a newbie? I restrict certain types of bidders to minimise the risk (such as newbies or those with negative feedback) as I've been stung like this before.

Re: Ebay - Quandary
thanks again for all the advice. the buyer was not a newbie (69 postive feedback), she bid about 12 hours before the auction end, so it wasnt an impulse b*y, and she was the only bidder so no second chance offers available
i've taken it up with ebay as suggested, although i was just chatting with an ebay customer services chap and i think i annoyed him, he ended our chat very abruptly with "Please understand that I cannot assist you any further as I’ve already given you all the information and available options to address the issue while referring to our existing policies. If there isn't anything else that I may help you with, I'm afraid that I will now be closing this session. Thank you for using eBay Live Help.
