Oh my goodness I'm almost too embarrassed to say what I had yesterday  :shifty: It was the lovely company I had that I got carried away. Well here goes - Belvita biscuit and a black coffee (220 calories) at 5.30am, then had a ham sandwich with a packet of crisps on the train, had a lovely walk around Portobello Road and then met the lovely ejwrank and prettyxcool for lunch which started off fairly well with a roast vegetable flat bread but it was followed by a substantial portion of apple crumble and custard - I was only slower as Ejwrank didn't have a meal she just had the cake (and she is slim) she had kindly b*ght me a pressie to share at the next screening plus some apricots for me to have as a healthy snack . We then went to Buckingham Palace and WOW those diamonds are stunning, huge and very wearable. Then we headed off to meet MrGlass at Covent Garden seeing him in his sporting attire I thought that I had better behave myself so I got us all drinks mine being a black coffee then he had a big smile on his face and said we can't be doing with this and promptly left and then returned with a selection of large cakes and as we couldn't decide we shared a Victoria Sandwich and a carrot cake (luckily he gave me the largest portion of both). We were having such a lovely time and I didn't realise the Northern line was off so only just made the train home by 3 minutes (I thought that 50 minutes would be loads of time to get to Euston from Covent Garden) - I have never ran so fast in my life up the escalators I thought that my daughter was going to faint or be sick she went so white. What a difference to last week when I was strolling down to Newcastle station with Preston to catch my train. I'm going to get a reputation for going out with different handsome men on a Saturday night - I wonder who I can find for next Saturday (it does sound dodgy 2 men I've found on the internet and I am married :shifty: ). Mr Glass also b*ght me a pressie to measure my fat which I'm really touched that he got me a pressie.

Now back on the straight and narrow.

Menu of the day:
Special K and a black coffee (300 calories)
Cup a soup with a slice of wholemeal bread and 2 kiwi (300 calories)
Chicken with tomato and basil and will think of something to go with it (400 calories) They were on offer hence the same as the other night.

It will have to be lots of housework as exercise of the day as my house now looks dusty with all this socialising and lots of ironing as I'm off to see Jesus Christ Superstar tonight at the MEN thanks to Andrews, plus 3 consecutive days of going to the cinema so must get on.

Very healthy day Preston o/

Hope you've had a lovely walk Biggins and so pleased that you are back with your cycling friends Preston, I've just arranged a walk in the Peaks with my friend for next Saturday followed by a Tapas meal. Its a female friend I used to work with (the one I sometimes go on city breaks with) not a man off the internet!

Diane, I am beginning to wonder if that sprint up the escalators was the ultimate destiny and goal that your fitness journey was building up to, lol. The fact that you made it from Kings Cross Station to your Euston train home in SEVEN minutes is astonishing! o/ o/ I was on my phone on the internet looking for cheapest deals for LON-MAN, just in case you didnt make it which was looking highly possible! It was a relief to hear you were on the train home! Very proud of you, what a sprint that must have been! That sprint you made inspired me to run home a tad quicker ;)

I like how you begin your post with stating the calories of your black coffee in the morning but then noticeable give up on counting the calories as the day wore on! This was your comfort day anyway, you dont count calories on those days!

Everyone, Diane looks very stunning and clearly fit too! Great achievement. o/ o/

So Diane, your menu is good today, everything is natural but again, veggies...not enough! All I see is tomatoes, how about some carrots, pees, greens? Also, Special K?? What is that? Can you substitute for something more natural?

Everyone, variety of veggies are the key to giving us more vibrancy, healthy skin, and younger looks. And also drinking lots of WATER too. Losing body fat, and toning up doesnt necessarily correlate with being the healthier. The quality of calories you intake is what dictates your long term health and beauty. So dont just think calories, think QUALITY.

Biggins, broccolli and carrot, alright! o/ o/

Preston, glad you got company to ride with too, does help with the motivation, doesnt it. Sounds like you're doing great and rumours are you're making the girls melt o/ o/

Octopus, well done on your progress, keep it up o/ o/

Right, I'm running a 9km today to see Paranorman.
Had porridge with ginger this morning (i accidentally put too much damn ginger in it though, didnt enjoy it!)
Later, having a lamb chops with baby carrots, pees, new potatoes, asparagus.

Ummm....that Victoria cake, yesterday, did taste damn good though!...hey it was my comfort day too :P

Hello! Remember me? I'm the one that is expanding while you all shrink!

Glad to see how well everyone is getting on, including getting over "I think I should give up" hurdles. There's no giving up here, just loosening the reigns now and again if necessary to get us back on track. Everyone making such great progess!

Sorry to have missed Diane yesterday, especially since there seemed to be lots of amazing cake about. I reckon a walk from Covent Garden to Euston would have been easier in the circumstances, Diane, but not being local you could not have known that. Would have taken no more than 30 minutes, if that (given your 4 mile rate!)... Glad to see you made it though.

Anyway, keep up the great work peeps, and I will keep applauding you all!

PS We're going to Manc for a wedding in a few weeks. Sadly doubt I'll be able to meet up with anyone, but YIKES the train fares are RIDIC! We're driving...

Lovely to hear that you are coming up to Manchester - even if you get a spare 15 mins I'm sure that a few of us will be more than happy to meet up, if not maybe next time. I very rarely p*y more than £12 each way for my train tickets - I do know if its late booking it goes a bit mad, hence I did the mega run and you are right a walk would have been easier with hindsight but I'm sure that the run did me good .

I will add some carrots, green beans and sweetcorn to my meal tonight to make it healthier and you are right Special K hasn't got much nutrition in it so could have made a better choice of breakfast. Enjoy your run MrGlass.
