[BLOG] Hit and Run
Re: Hit & Run
Saw this tonight at Stratford East courtesy of Slackers.
Forgettable stuff but passes the time.

How's this for dedication to fmuk? I decided to see this again tonight purely to see if it went down better with the students and raised more of a laugh. Guess what...barely a titter! So if boozed up students aren't amused by this then I guess it is missing it's target audience as well.
I deserve a medal though. Was hard work enduring a second time.

Cineworld Unlimited is cheating! ;-)
Sometimes I sits and thinks....and sometimes I just sits.

OK film for a freebie but would have been disappointed if I had pa*d to see it.
Re: Hit & Run
A typical B-movie car chase comedy caper written, directed and co-starring Dax Shepard, who hasn’t done a good movie since ‘Employee of the Month’?
Shepard plays a former getaway driver who abandons his Witness Protection Program identity in order to help his girlfriend (Kirsten Bell) get to Los Angeles for a job interview. But of course things are not straightforward with his former crew (lead by Bradley Cooper), his girlfriend's ex and an inept United States Marshal assigned to him (Tom Arnold) in pursuit.
Jason Bateman and Beau Bridges both make cameo appearances and Kristin Chenoweth turns in another scene stealing character role as Bell’s boss; though she is still acting only in ‘second gear’. She deserves better roles.
I really wasn’t enthused about turning up to this movie. But it wasn’t all that bad and passed the time quite well. And I am glad I did. But I didn’t p*y for my ticket!
Yes, there were some very funny moments though the filmmakers push some gags close to the breaking point - Arnold's accident-prone cop. But it just wasn’t funny or zany enough to make it memorable. It's an enjoyable ride, that’s all. Watch it on the TV when it comes around.
