Now I have to disagree with you on this one, Ms Thrifty. Carrot cake, when properly made, is delicious and I really love it with a nice creamy icing. Oh dear--once again I'm showing why I am not a welcome contributor on the Weight Watchers thread as I seem to write most whenever cake is mentioned.

Veggies veggies, Diane, everyday, variety. Still not seeing enough, remember their virtues. Nutrition, beautiful skin, healthy, long life....veggies...mantra :)

Enjoy the walk in the hills and enjoy Blackpool! love Blackpool. Did my first Bungee jump there off that pier.
Excuse me MrGlass but vegetable curry is full of vegetables ;) plus I ended up having a ciabatta with beef and balsamic onions (absolutely delicious as soaked in vinegar as opposed to fried) and a large green salad - didn't realise the tapas menu doesn't start until 5pm. The walk with the dogs was invigorating plus it was so much easier without the excess weight all in all a lovely day, feeling full and nicely tired now. Blackpool was good fun and very different, you were brave jumping of the pier - its bracing enough looking out into the Irish sea from the pier without doing a bungee jump.

I am leading you ladies astray - off-topic and off the WW wagon - but I did love the photos from last weekend and the description of your trip to Blackpool, Diane65 and ejwrank, I absolutely agree that properly-made carrot cake is delicious. I used to make my own and had tried many versions before deciding on my own favourite, but today's version lacked in flavour and finesse what it had in bulk. Speaking of which, my pizza is massive, so I'd better skedaddle before Mr G apprehends me!

Good morning everyone. Still missing Preston, havingascreen, ClareBarr and Valda - hope that you are all OK.

Menu of the day:
Belvita biscuits and a yoghurt (300 calories)
Lentil soup (out of a tin - half a tin is supposed to be a portion but I eat the whole lot  )plus a slice of wholemeal bread
(300 calories) Weight Watchers chocolate eclair (84 calories)
Its the Red Thai vegetable curry today as was so stuffed after my very late lunch yesterday that I couldn't eat it last night but ended up with a bowl of special K at 8pm (361 calories) tinned mandarins with orange jelly and evaporated milk (100 calories)

Exercise of the day will be the DVD and lots of housework/ironing after the cinema this morning.

Have a fun day everyone o/

I'm off work hence late start :shifty: Where is everyone? I promised Preston I would keep posting until he reached his target but where is he - at this rate I'll be posting when I'm having meals on wheels!!

Menu of the day:
Bagel with cinnamon and raisins (320 calories)
Garlic sausage with salad and chilli sauce on a wholemeal roll and 2 kiwi (320 calories)
Piperade a la preston and a green salad (423 +50 calories)it is so filling I can't fit anything else in.

I was going to have a day in today but as I've got nearly 7 hours free I think I'll be heading out for a walk. What does everyone else do when they have time off work? I've done my housework, ironing etc, rested enough watching Downton Abbey etc and off to the cinema tonight. Any tips will be appreciated.
