Catching this later today, despite only seeing fifteen minutes of the first one and number 4 (Great on 3D BD), I'm making the effort. Hoping for a lot of stupidity and some great action moments that only someone like WS Anderson can pull off.

EDIT: Let us never talk of this film again.

I saw this twice in the cinema but forgot to write my review lol! Firstly, I didn't think the 3D was as good as Afterlife, mainly because they used smaller, cheaper 3D cameras instead of the PACE camera system that James Cameron created. I thought the acting was ok, I understand why people are saying Siennas (Jill Valentine) acting wasn't very good, but on the other hand, she's supposed to act like that because she's under the control of the Red Queen. I liked the opening (the reverse scene) and that they then showed it in real time, and I liked the Suburban Alice scene that followed in Raccoon City. I thought the corridor scene with the zombies was good and I also liked the Moscow chase scene that included the russian zombies and the uber licker. I also thought it was good that they brought back past characters, although I would have liked to have seen more scenes with them in. As well, I liked the Jill vs Alice and Bad Rain vs Leon and Luther fight, although I don't think they should have killed Luther off. Overall, I think the film was better than Afterlife and Apocalypse, but not quite as good as Extinction and #1 so i'd give the film a 3.5/5.

Win tickets for a dip in a ‘blood’ swimming pool

You guys love gore right? If you’re always losing your mind over zombie nights out and going wild for horror films, why not take it to the next level by going for a dip in the Resident Evil ‘blood’ filled swimming pool? Not grossed out enough yet? How about if we tell you that there will be floating tendrilly eyeballs, drifting blood clots, buoyant body parts, a corpse diving board and intestine lane markers. Worried you might drown? The zombie life guards will take good care of you and your tasty brains. Don your brain swimming caps and your blood splashed goggles and dive down to the gnarly depths to recover some sweet Resident Evil merchandise. The 16ft by 32ft open-air pool will be filled with 55,000 gallons of red water (sorry, it’s not actually real blood guys – it would have the blood of 11,327 people to actually fill it and Resident Evil don’t have that kind of killer budget) and will be popping up in east London on May 25 and 26 for 200 lucky people to take a dip.

Tickets for the pool went on sale this morning and sold out in 90 seconds but luckily for you, we have three pairs to give away to this soggy gore-fest. Enter by midnight on Wednesday May 22 and the winners will be notified on Thursday May 23.
