The Marmite Oxford Street Christmas Lights
The Marmite Oxford Street Christmas Lights, which for the first time gives people the chance to appear within the mile long interactive display, will kick start the festive season in style with tens of thousands gathering on Oxford Street for the switch-on of the 300,000 bulbs of light that are hoisted above the street, signalling the start of Christmas in London's West End.
This year's switch-on will be a star-studded affair with pop sensation Leona Lewis, and four-piece boy band Lawson, supporting the headline act and treating the crowds to a variety of hits to get the celebrations underway. The catwalk stage, accompanied by two viewing screens will be hosted outside premium British department store House of Fraser and presented by official radio partner Heart 106.2. The proceedings will kick off at 5pm, hosted by Heart presenters Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton.
Robbie Williams the former Take That star, who has sold over 60 million solo albums worldwide, will take to the stage in front of thousands of shoppers eager to be a part of the Christmas celebrations on the world's most famous high street. In addition to performing some of his hit singles, Robbie will treat shoppers to a live Performance of his single, Candy - a Christmas number one contender taken from his new album 'Take the Crown' - released on 5th November.

Billy Liar
Billy Liar dreams his way through his humdrum life and invents a more exciting world for himself. This makes things more bearable for him but not for others around him. His parents despair as Billy juggles fantasy and reality. He lies his way into and out of every situation, making up excuses and getting himself into worse entanglements. When he is offered the chance to escape and make a new life for himself, will he have the courage to actually do it? A touching comedy set in the 1960s.

Kings Place – Classicalnext Tuesday
Josephine Knight & Friends. An opportunity to hear these outstanding Internationalmusicians collaborate for this exciting programme. Regular performers on theInternational circuit and known to one another spanning over 20 years,Josephine Knight invites Daniel Hope, Benny Kim, Philip Dukes and David Finckelto join her for what promises to be an extraordinary concert.
The programme willshowcase some of the greatest chamber music written for strings, Kodaly`smagnificent Duo for violin and cello , followed by the lesser known but equallyimpressive Schulhoff's Duo for violin and cello; born in Prague, Vienna,Schulhoff was one of the brightest figures in a generation of Europeanmusicians whose career was tragically prematurely terminated by the rise of theNazi regime in Germany.
To conclude the programme, one of the giants in the string repertoire, thelegendary Cello Quintet by Schubert. All of life is here, pathos and serenity, charm, strength, intimacy, virtuosity and simplicity, surely one of a handfulof works which achieves this all encompassing alchemy.
