It's not sympathy!

Its all a fix, there are groups set up on FB devoted to keeping them in as the think it upsets the process & they don't like the X Factor! However, these acts are put in each year to cause controversy & generate press about the show & also these people are being beaten at their own game as whilst they are voting they are generating revenue for the show and lets face it, thats what its all about, not the acts.

If the judges & producers were really concerned about the talent they wouldn't put the likes of Rylan & Christopher there to start with.

I stopped watching weeks ago, it has to be the biggest farce on tv right now, there are a couple of really talented people in there or there was until last night and if James Arthur had any sense he would leave the show and carry on knocking on doors and following his career path in a way that will not compromise his artistic integrity

If he wins he will be forced by contract to spew out commercial bile like all the rest before him (for a couple of yrs) earning a lot, of which he will see little before disappearing into obscurity like all the rest lol

It was the judges fault. Tulisa and Scherzinger may complain and blame the TV audience, but they selected and kept Rylan in and they whipped up the hatred for Christopher. And they did not care the show lost two good vocalists in the first two shows.

Anyway for individual acts, if you are good, it does not matter whether if you win this thing. You will get a recording deal. The show gives them exposure. The important thing is making it happen thereafter. However, it will damage the show itself over time.

I rather hope James doesn't win. Winning can be a dead weight around their necks. Indeed, had I had the deciding vote and was Gary Barlow I would have voted for Ella on the basis she needs more exposure and experience. If anything this show might work against James. But if I was Gary Barlow i would done that and worked to ensure James did in fact get the RIGHT recording deal.

The fairest thing to do was to take it to deadlock anyway and it has let the public decide - for good or bad. I totally agree that James as an artist may bring more and the whole show's history is full of success stories of non-winners (JLS, Olly Murs , One Direction )

i still cant get over last nights results, i think i might just give up and stop watching this now as its just getting more and more ridiculous

I think they need to take it back to basics next year

Get the auditions back to a closed no audience room. May stop the somewhat biased editing
Slight changes to the judging panel. Cowell has to come back but the overall balance of panel Ok and caters for all age ranges
And only put through GENUINE talent. I cant recall any novelty/joke/talentless acts in the first 3 series
