Life of Pi
Love the book, I hope Ang Lee does the book justice.

Re: Life of Pi
I saw a trailer for this in America and was very confused.
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Life Of Pi
There doesn't seem to be a thread (merge/delete if there is one). Hopefully I won't botch the YouTube link!
I was sold on this film when I saw the trailer at a Taken 2 screening. My objective is to read the book before watching it - so that's 150 pages left to read in 6 days.

Re: Life Of Pi
The books seems very different from the trailers I've seen (the films looks colourful and magical, almost like a fantasy film, whereas the book is a more realistic survival story), nonetheless I can't wait for the film!

I'm assuming if it doesn't say so on the ticket, then no. My tickets for Sunday just say Life Of Pi, but a friend has Sky tickets for the 11th which says "in 3D"hussainash wrote:Are all free screening for Life of Pi in 3D? I will be going to Surrey Quays on 2/12 10:30am show.
Re: Life Of Pi
I have no idea how they are going to do the book as a film. I wonder if it is one to watch in 3d?
Re: Life Of Pi
Apparently it has the best 3D of any film released since Avatar. I've just read the book and I can't see how the film will do it justice, very interested to see how it turns out - especially considering the reviews coming from the US.

Re: Life Of Pi
From what I can tell, it doesnt follow the book, it is at it says an adaptation, theyve adapted it to screen meaning that the two will never be the same
Suppose you could say its more of an 'inspired by' sort of thing.

Re: Life Of Pi
The synopsis on Wikipedia looks reasonably similar, although they've added a love interest for Pi in India it seems. Not long to find out now anyway :)
