Back home now.

I thought the film was very violent in places, but a lot easier to sit through than Stitches, which was just unpleasant viewing, even though more unrealistic.

Film was very so-so to start with, picked up pace about half way through after the 'big reveal' and genuinely made me laugh out loud a few times towards the end. But I think it got better a bit too late for it to really score anything higher than 3 out of 5.

Btw, didn't spot a single Sky rep. I could have been there sooner if I hadn't been faffing with the printer! Just walked on in.

Saw this in Edinburgh tonight.

A bit of a hit and miss, but it just about had enough funny scenes to carry it.

Saw this tonight in Edinburgh too! Cinema quite busy despite dreadful weather and still lots of latecomers!! Agree with Abarthman mixed thoughts, some funny but by and large had it been on the TV I would have gone off and done something else.

Huge thanks to Havingascreen for lift, that was highlight of my evening :D

Funnily enough, I was thinking of asking / going to the O2, even though it's a little further away. Definitely better / newer screens there plus like asamaic said - almost guaranteed a seat even if turning up close to screening time. I guess just got to get there a bit earlier or ask the staff there whether they think they can fit everyone.

I got to the Crapadero at 6pm and the queue was pretty big already. They kept us waiting until 6.20 apparently so they could get the tiny screen ready. Luckily I saw someone I knew who was at the front of the queue so she saved 2 seats for us at the back :shifty:

There were quite a few laugh out loud moments, I did enjoy the film but I don't think it really worked that well. I love Sam Rockwell so it was great seeing him again. Walken was funny doing his odd way of talking thing, Farrell was cute as always  7/10
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

not keen of Farrell's eyebrows, reckon he should get a restyle myself..

Sam Rockwell was bloody good and outshone the others all the way.

I enjoyed this but it was not what I was expecting from the trailers, I think I was expecting more laughs, I did like the fact it was not too predictable and liked the bit mid credits.

I also could not get over Colin Farrell's eyebrows, at times they seemed massive and almost met in the middle with some expressions, I have never noticed this before. I also liked Sam Rockwell, thought he was really good.

Watched this at a busy Edinburgh Cineworld last night.

Didn't view any trailers - pa*d scant attention to posters etc. Read the mini-synopsis on IMDB. This is my preferred MO for previews.

Sat at the back of the cinema and I've rarely felt such a buzz from the audience at certain times during a film.

It restored my faith in the US movie industry - clever, darkly funny, superb cast/acting.

All in all my favourite of the year - closely followed by Untouchable and Lawless.

I watched it at Trocadero (although I'm stealing Val's "Crapadero"). The queue was indeed massive. I got to the front... and the manager stopped me saying it was full. WHAT?? The two ushers proceeded to recount the tickets, and was able to let me & one lady in - that's about as close as it gets.

As for the film, it was so so. A few light chuckles, I think I dozed off a few times. Sam Rockwell stood out for me. Not that I particularly care, but I'm surprised that this was only a 15. The BBFC do surprise me with their film classifications at times

An average 5/10
