No. This is a SFF code which I received and I am not a member of Audience Club. Just because they sponsor it, doesn't mean you need your membership card :)Spinner wrote:Looks like the Wishbone Ash tickets are in partnership with The Audience Club. For Audience Club tickets, don't you need to be a member and show your membership card to gain entrance?

Everyone should be an Audience Club member anyway, best £4 I've ever spent.

How often are you able to benefit from tickets and to what type of things?arewenotben wrote:Everyone should be an Audience Club member anyway, best £4 I've ever spent.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!
Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
There's currently about 30 or so shows available, although mainly pantos/Christmas related due to the time of year - it changes daily, I log in a couple of times a day as often there will be tickets available for that evening come up at midday. Occasionally you'll get West End shows, lots of off-West End stuff, classical concerts, comedy, cabaret, there were films during the London Film Festival too - can't say too much as it's against the T&Cs and don't want to be kicked out! Definitely worth getting on the waiting list for a membership as it's only £4 for the initial membership.
If you had the time and energy, you could comfortably go out every day of the week using it - it's £2.50 admin fee per show. I've seen some excellent stuff this year with it.

Thanks, just wondering if it was different to what is often available free on here, or more readily available.

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
This was interesting. We were members of The Audience Club when it cost £24 a year, and although we did use it quite a few times we didn't renew when the membership ran out last year as we found a lot of overlap between their shows and the free tickets that are available here and from other sites, and it was becoming quite hard to snag any tickets as it became more popular (sound familiar?). However, after reading your post I went back onto their website and renewed at the £4 understudy price. I'm not sure how restricted this level of membership will be, but if nothing else we've given a small donation to a charity. Thanks for the information.arewenotben wrote:There's currently about 30 or so shows available, although mainly pantos/Christmas related due to the time of year - it changes daily, I log in a couple of times a day as often there will be tickets available for that evening come up at midday. There is some crossover with the SFF listings (such as the Wishbone Ash), but it's generally reasonably easy to get tickets (unless it's a West End production, but even then they're repeated normally). They'll usually have a wide range of dates to choose from too, and they can be offered weeks in advance. They're good for family shows too as you can request as many tickets as you need, otherwise it's limited to 2pp for standard members. I also like the fact you have a card, as opposed to having to print off the ticket :)
Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Audience Club now has 3 levels of membership and there is a 6-week waiting list for the most basic type ("Understudy", for which you make the aforementioned £4 charity donation.) I am not a member, meaning I'm not sworn to secrecy but also have limited knowledge. My understanding is that if you are a lapsed member, you should be able to renew immediately, provided you haven't been away too long. I would certainly much prefer to produce a card to collect tix, rather than have to obtain and present a printout, particularly as we have no home printer at the moment. However, as others have said, you can still do quite well with freebies, comps, etc. Short-notice offers are not good for me, either, but must be great if you live or work in London.

Went to see Rob Brydon in 'A Chorus of Disapproval' last night - didn't think much of it.
