Enjoyed this tonight.

Cruise is on top MI style form and this is pretty entertaining in a Hollywood way. The story gets pretty silly in places and Rosamund Pike was pretty wooden, but everyone else was good. Great cameo from Werner Herzog!!

Saw this with my family ranging from 13 to 43 in ages. They all enjoyed it. I think TC and others did a good job - I haven't read the books so can't compare TCs portrayal of the character. Good action and an engaging story. I haven't seen a good thriller in ages 8.5/10.

Saw it last night and thought it was great . Some bits were omg can't believe that happened and it was nice to have a little bit of humor in the film.

8/10

Might have to start reading the books.

I'm looking forward to this and am glad that all the reports here are good. I'd have seen it yesterday had I not agreed to see it with my sister next Saturday, so have to wait now as nothing else around that we'd agree on.

Used my last free O2 ticket to see this.

It was like watching a Mission Impossible without the toys/gadgets.
(but with the "let's have a fist fight instead of me just shooting you" scene included  )
Some cinema-goers who had read the book, were saying that Jack Reacher is supposed to be tall. It didn't make a difference to me as I found the film enjoyable, not edge of my seat thrilling but still quite entertaining. o/

I found this quite entertaining. It toes the line well between silly and serious. Some of it is far fetched but Cruise's performance really carries the film and he delivers the one-liners very well. 8/10.

I absolutely despised this film. Just saw it, it was one of the most unpleasant film experiences I've ever had, and definitely the vilest hero I've ever seen in an action film. Full review to follow once I've drained my bile duct.

Well, my sister and I saw this today and both enjoyed it. Preposterous, old-fashioned plot and rather over-long, but otherwise entertaining enough for a wet winter weekend. I don't know the books but if JR is meant to be tall, surely Clive Owen would make a better lead than TC? But then, I think Clive Owen would make a better Bond, too! And I honestly haven't got a thing about Clive Owen; I just think some actors are a little over-exposed in comparison.

Ok so it's no mission impossible but it's a ok film would give it 6/10.

I loved Werner Herzog, and his scene with Michael Raymond-James (Bite your fingers off) was sublime. Beyond that, what a mess.
Dry dialogue and really TV-feeling pacing/plotting for 100 minutes, then stupid action for 20. Didn't work for me, wasn't fun, funny or enthralling, just lame. Poor Werner.
