Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
We won tickets some time back to see this with a Q & A with Juliette Binoche and the director. I agree that she is marvellous. Very odd film but I think we almost liked it -- it certainly provoked a good deal of discussion because we were both unsure what had happened.eumenides wrote:Certified Copy, which proves that I will watch Juliette Binoche in anything.

A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"
A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
obviously not something I watch as I detest boybands 'who cant play an instrument between them', but the Take That Pantomine on iplayer was really not bad. Robbie's entrance was a bizarre highlight, and most of the songs had a costume theme including the opening salvo of their best songs. Deterioated a lot in the second half when they started playing some of their 'other songs' (ie outside the decent five songs they've managed in two decades ..ahem) but worth a watch. Goodness knows the stage manager earned his money's worth.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

Ooh I missed that sounds brilliant and I'll have you know Raj101 Gary Barlow is a talented musician (and a bit of a dish) - Too much protesting as well Raj I bet you're a closet boyband fan (or are you in one?raj101 wrote:obviously not something I watch as I detest boybands 'who cant play an instrument between them', but the Take That Pantomine on iplayer was really not bad. Dear Wendy and Festen. In a Vinterberg mood.
I didn't remember the first one, it's completely f**ked up (in a good way), and didn't remember THE detail of the second one. Made me nauseous.
Two great films.
