This reminds me - did anyone else think it was unintentionally funny when one flight attendant said to another "I just crashed last night and went straight to bed?"

I really enjoyed the film, but I do agree with some of the negative comments. I think raj was the one who said DW should keep his top on now!! And the drug-taking didn't have to be like an instructional video!!

Saw it last night at Greenwich Odeon, which was fairly full. Unfortunately that meant being stuck with a little hyena close by, laughing at most bizarre moments.

As for the movie itself, I thought it was pretty good until they turned it into another Hollywood crap. It's like they have decent ideas but have to always spoil it with the happy ending/life lesson/bad turned good/whatnot. All in all am glad it didn't cost me anything but some time, part of which was not a waste.
And I agree with others, DW is a great actor but dude, it's time to keep the clothes on. You're past your "Glory".

Wimbledon was completely full as usual. It started well, then sagged a bit and I didn't like the ending. Not too terrible but wouldn't watch again. Glad Beate mentioned the poor sound quality, I thought it was just me. The Christian bits got the biggest laughs. :shifty:

Yes somebody says 'God Bless You' to Piers Morgan which clearly makes this a work of fantasy.

i mostly enjoyed it as it raised questions about DW's life
as a high functioning alcoholic.
i kept wondering would he have been able to fly like that under different circumstances
i.e. sober.
but i accepted the basic premise until the ending.
was this ending done by focus group? it was so hallmark-sweet i felt it ruined the goodwill i had amassed up to that point.
for a better ending, in my head, i will imagine it ended ten mins early
with them applauding him at the trial.
Oscar winning? I am not sure.

So I was not that far wrong then! For a change. :D

Sorry, to hear that you lost your scarf, Beate. How could someone find it and not hand it in? I hope they do and you get your scarf back.
